The (Fabulous) Wedding Lunch

 

What a wonderful show we had here on Sunday! Despite a couple of inches of snowfall The Wedding Lunch drew a fantastic crowd of local brides, their fiancés, bridemaids and family members, wedding and event planners, and wedding industry professionals.

Our guests enjoyed a lavishly decorated Ballroom courtesy of Chair Decor, Debut Event Design and Flowerz with lighting and visuals by Showmax Events. After sipping on mimosa’s, sampling tasty canapés and mingling with Vancouver’s premier vendors guests were entertained with dance workshops, decor presentations and of course a fabulous bridal fashion show all whilst feasting on a 3 course plated lunch! 

Hot Wax DJ’s spun some awesome tunes with Union Photographers taking some beautiful photos of the event (see more photos at http://www.unionphotographers.com/wedding_lunch2011/ ) but perhaps the highlight of the day was seeing the reactions of a VERY excited couple – Sharon and Adrian who won the grand prize of an all-inclusive honeymoon to the  El Dorado Casitas Royale!

Capturing Moments

I was recently introduced to a unique photography duo Wilde and Core.

What I really loved as I browsed their portfolio was their ability to capture some very special moments beyond the standard of posed wedding portraits. These albums provide a personal recount of the day and of the guest’s experience, and are less ‘close up of wedding bands strategically positioned on bride’s upturned stiletto’ and more ‘Remember when Grandpa was a blubbering mess?’. 

One of my favourites: Kate’s face as she drools over the sight of her wedding cake in Kate and Nate’s Album.

Not Your Average Wedding Show

The Stanley Park Pavilion is proud to be hosting The Wedding Lunch  on February 27, 2011 at 10:00am.

The Wedding Lunch is NOT your average wedding show! This event will immerse you in our beautifully decorated Lord Stanley Ballroom, perfect if you are looking for some décor ideas for your own special day. There will be a champagne cocktail and a delicious three course plated meal. 

The Wedding Lunch is an interactive and experiential event unlike your ordinary wedding fair. You will find similar traits; a fashion show, prize giveaways, swag bags, and the chance to meet Vancouver’s hottest vendors but The Wedding Lunch is about much more with entertainment and special presentations from industry professionals that are informative and FUN!
